This is a delicious one bowl, no mixer that is everything you would want in a chocolate cake.

Ingredients:

1 cup all purpose flour (or 00)

1/2 cup cocoa powder

2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup white sugar 

1 cup plain Greek Yogurt (or full fat sour cream)

3 large eggs

2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

1/2 cup canola or other mild tasting oil

 

Instructions:

Preheat over to 350 degrees and spray an 8" pan and line with parchment paper.  Set aside.

In a medium large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt and sugar until completely combined.

Make a well in the centre and add yogurt, eggs, oil and vanilla.  Whisk well until all ingredients are incorporated and the batter is smooth.

Pour into prepared pan and bake for 35-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.

Cool in the pan for 15 minutes then turn out onto a plate or serving platter.
